A 21-year-old female was sexually assaulted two weeks ago in Santa Clara Residence Hall on the Lake Shore Campus, according to Campus Safety.
The Chicago Police Department (CPD) responded to the victim at Northwestern Hospital around 5:30 p.m. April 8, according to CPD News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney.
According to Campus Safety, the assault occurred April 7 about 12:30 a.m. in Santa Clara.
CPD said the perpetrator was known to the victim, but didn’t provide further details.
Campus Safety Sgt. Tim Cunningham declined to answer specific questions and said CPD was investigating the incident. It’s unclear if the victim was a Loyola student.
